ANTIPARTY is a pro-democracy movement with a mission to empower individuals to collectively contribute towards positive change.  We will restore hope by re-imagining a system that works for us, not those in power. Through a combination of art and creativity, experience and expertise, we seek to inspire new solutions to old problems.  

Emerging from years of uncertainty and a lack of control, ANTIPARTY seeks to enable you to reclaim your power, to reclaim agency in our lives and the important role we play in society. The pandemic proved the strength of our communities and it is here that we can have the greatest impact. We are stronger together.

Trust in our political system and the so-called representatives running our country is at an all-time low. The two-party system is not working - political parties spend their energy campaigning and competing rather than coming up with solutions. The extreme left versus the far right removes independent thought and increases polarisation. Political debate is designed to divide us and our news feed is distorted by misinformation dictated by a monopolised media.

It can be tempting to completely disengage but we must not. Instead we must shift our reliance from central government towards self-sufficiency and self-governance to support ourselves and our local communities. Decentralisation of power is the essence of Democracy, defined as rule by the people, for the people.

Each chapter of our movement aims to enhance our democracy one step at a time, bringing people together and reversing the trends towards a divided society under authoritarian rule. By empowering our communities and the people that make them, we can take back control of our future.
